What's New?
- Schmick As is all set to enter the 2006 Belconnen Markets Busker's Festival! Fingers crossed...
- Schmick As Presents! Aired to critical acclaim! Our first theatre show was met with lovely feedback from
theatregoers and reviewers. Schmick As would like to thank everyone who came and saw us in our first self-produced theatrical
work. Cheers! As for the rest of you...ooh.
- Schmick As merchandise now for sale! All Australian made, certified sweatshop free T-shirts and Hoodies.
contact us to order yours! do it now! (visit www.nosweatshoplabel.com for more information on Sweatfree certification)
- We performed for the 2006 Oxfam Christmas fair. Schmick would like to extend a massive shout-out to Oxfam and the work
they do.
When performing, Schmick As wears No Sweat brand shoes.
These are shoes made in a fully unionised factory in Indonesia, where workers get full health benefits, a
decent living wage, and a retirement plan amongst other things. This shoe brand has no advertising budget,
a saving they can pass on to employee wages. (Schmick As would like to declare that we support this shoe
companie's ethics, and recieve no payment from the company. We have however, had 4 pairs donated to us for
use in performances by the Oxfam shop, Civic, in a cross-promotional deal designed to advertise the shoes - we have also
bought 6 pairs ourselves.)
